Getting Started With Axis

Axis is an all-in-one Discord bot to make managing your server a breeze. Whether you’re keeping your server safe, leveling up engagement, or just having fun, Axis can make it simple.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

Getting Axis Set Up

You can get Axis added and set-up within only a few minutes. To get started, head to the Axis dashboard.

Steps:

1. Log in with your Discord account. If you're not already logged in, you will be prompted to do so.
2. Click your server from the dashboard to manage it. If Axis isn't in the server, you'll be automatically prompted to add it.
3. Grant Axis the permissions it needs to function.

What Can Axis Do?

Axis is built around modules- each one is like a category of tools for your server. You can enable, disable, and tweak them however you like.

Here’s just some of what Axis can do:

• Moderation: Auto-remove bad words, spam, and unwanted links.
• Leveling: Reward active members with XP and give role rewards.
• Utilities: Create giveaways, set reminders, and more.
• Fun: Manipulate images, and other fun modules to make your server friendly.
• Custom Commands: Set up commands for quick and personalized responses.
• Automations: Custom commands on steroids. You can make Axis do practically anything using automations.

The dashboard makes it super easy to manage these:

• Navigation Sidebar (Left): Pick your server and switch between modules quickly.
• Configuration Area (Right): Fine-tune a module's settings to fit your server’s needs.

Permissions

Once Axis is in your server, make sure you’ve set up permissions correctly so everyone can use what they need.

• People with the administrator or manage server permissions automatically have full access to the dashboard and settings. Adjust this in Discord by going to Server Settings > Roles > Permissions.

• For Axis moderation commands, Axis typically requires the command user to have the relevant roles for that command. Only someone with the kick members permission can use /kick, for example. However, using the dashboard, you can add custom overrides for roles that can use moderation commands.

• Some commands and modules can be used by non-admins, but you can use your server's dashboard to configure what commands can and can't be used in your server, as well as by who.

Optimizing Your Modules

You can use your dashboard to fine-tune how you want everything about Axis to work in your server specifically.

In Axis, you can toggle entire modules using the top-level toggle at the top of the module. This will disable all commands relevant to that module. You can also configure specific commands under that module by viewing your options on that module's configuration list.

Every time you make a change on the dashboard, you will be prompted to save your changes. Remember to save, otherwise your changes will be discarded. You may also need to allow a few seconds for the Axis bot to sync to your current settings.
