If Axis isn't responding to your commands, it’s usually caused by one of the following:

Check Command Prefix

Ensure you’re using the correct prefix for your server. The default prefix is %. If the prefix has been changed, ask a server admin or ping @Axis to find out what it is.

Axis is Muted or Disabled

A server admin may have muted Axis or disabled specific commands. Check the bot’s role and channel-specific permissions. If you're a server owner or manager, check the dashboard and make sure the required modules and commands are enabled.

Check the Bot's Permissions

A few permissions are required for the basic functionality of the bot. Make sure the bot has the following permissions:

  • Send Messages
  • Read Messages
  • Embed Links
  • Attach Files
  • View Channels

For moderation commands:

  • Manage Messages
  • Kick Members
  • Timeout Members
  • Ban Members
  • etc...

Rate Limits

If you’ve been sending many commands in a short period, Axis could impose rate limits. Wait a moment and try again.

Verify Axis is Online

If Axis is offline, it may be due to maintenance or an outage. Check the status page or try again later.

If none of these solve the problem, contact support for assistance.
