What to Do if Axis Isn’t Responding to Commands
Under section Troubleshooting
If Axis isn't responding to your commands, it’s usually caused by one of the following issues. Here's how to troubleshoot and fix it:
1. Check the Bot's Permissions
Axis needs specific permissions to work properly. Make sure the bot has the following permissions: - Send Messages - Read Messages - Manage Messages (for moderation commands) - Embed Links (for rich responses)
2. Verify Axis is Online
If Axis is offline, it may be due to maintenance or an outage. Check the status page or try again later.
3. Check Command Prefix
Ensure you’re using the correct prefix for your server. The default prefix is %
. If the prefix has been changed, ask a server admin or ping @Axis
to find out what it is.
4. Axis is Muted or Disabled
A server admin may have muted Axis or disabled specific commands. Check the bot’s role and channel-specific permissions.
5. Rate Limits
If you’ve been sending many commands in a short period, Axis may impose rate limits. Wait a moment and try again.
If none of these solve the problem, contact support for assistance.
